Harry Kane bailed out a lot of his Tottenham teammates

Don’t let the final score of 3-0 fool you. Tottenham were fortunate to win comfortably in Cyprus yesterday. APOEL could have easily made this a tight match if not for the English talisman’s heroics.

I’ll even go so far as to say that several members of the Spurs squad should be ashamed of how they played. It’s almost as if some of them forget this was a Champions League match. Several player’s did not exert enough effort to pay proper respect to the opponent or the occasion.

Fortunately, the sins of several Spurs star didn’t cost the club any points. Kane’s clinical finishing game him a hat trick and his side all three points. Now, Spurs will head to Real Madrid on even footing with the La Liga giants in the Group standings.

The reality is that Tottenham will need to play at a much higher level to threaten the likes of Bale and company in the coming weeks. Read on to discover which Spurs stars should be particularly embarrassed of their play against APOEL.
