Harry Kane-10
Anything less than a perfect rating for the Spurs striker would be a massive injustice. Perhaps he didn’t play a perfect match, but anytime you score a hat trick on the road in Champions League competition you deserve significant praise.
Kane didn’t get a ton of chances to score in this match but it didn’t matter. He took each opportunity given to him and buried the ball into the back of the net. A lot of his teammates need to offer to carry Kane’s bags for the next week or so to thank him for bailing out their sub par outings.
Hugo Lloris-7.5
The French captain gets downgraded for his nightmare clearance off Davinson Sanchez, but it was still one of his best outings in a while. He made several crucial saves that kept APOEL off the score sheet.
It’s easy to imagine him needing to make more than a handful of top shelf saves against Real Madrid in the next two matches. Fortunately, yesterday’s outing will give him some much-needed momentum before facing Cristiano Ronaldo and company.
