Serge Aurier-6

The Ivory Coast fullback looked pretty good in the first half, but then was substituted early in the second half in favor of Fernando Llorente. In truth, he looked as if his legs were absolutely shot when he came out after half time.

Fortunately, Pochettino doesn’t have a choice but to rest Aurier this weekend in Premier League play. He’ll miss out due to suspension. A couple days of rest should be the cure for what ails the former PSG star. This wasn’t his best outing, but he was good enough for a half.

Kieran Trippier-4.5

Don’t be suckered in by the one assist he provided Kane. He did play a nice cross into the box but he had all the time in the world to deliver it. It was an adequate cross for a Premier League regular.

Other than that, it was a miserable match for the former Burnley star. His first half performance on the left flank was horrific. Spurs looked very vulnerable anytime APOEL chose to attack Trippier’s half of the pitch.

He was marginally better on the right in the second half, but it was still a poor outing overall. There should be real concerns about whether or not he’s good enough to be Aurier’s understudy moving forward. Kyle Walker-Peters has a real case to overtake Trippier in Pochettino’s pecking order.
