Batshuayi continues to prove his worth to Conte

Another late winner by Michy Batshuayi has only further proven Conte’s genius
It is happy days in the Chelsea dressing room as the club completed a come from behind 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid. The hero was none other than Michy Batshuayi, who scored a 93rd minute winner. This is nothing new for the Belgian, who has a knack of scoring crucial goals for the club that gives him little playing time.
This season has started off a bit different for the young attacker. Batshuayi has already started a match in both the Premier League and Champions League, scoring in the latter.
Having scored five goals in all competitions, “The Batsman” is really proving to manager Antonio Conte that he deserves a major part in the team. There is only one problem with that.
Alvaro Morata. The ex-Real Madrid striker is having a phenomenal start to his Chelsea career. A hat trick against Stoke at the weekend brought his Premier League goal total to six in just six appearances. Morata cannot seem to stop scoring, even scoring the first goal against Atletico Madrid to start the comeback.
No Chelsea fan in their right mind would say that sitting Morata would be a good idea. His form has defied all speculations and he seems to fit perfectly into Conte’s system. It is a bit unlucky that Batshuayi cannot get the minutes he deserves, but he honestly seems very much content in playing hero for the team.

Batshuayi will be a much more integral part of the team this season. Conte has a multitude of players at his disposal and can mix and match a variety of lineups depending on his opponent. Though Batshuayi may not start as much as he would on some other teams, his inclusion will always bring plenty of drive and goal scoring ability to an already potent attacking force.
Conte’s next challenge comes against Manchester City in the Premier League. This first vs. third showdown has the potential to be one of the best matches of the season up to this point, with two tactical masterminds in Pep Guardiola and Conte going head to head. Batshuayi could very well be the starter in that match, as Morata played 82 minutes against Atletico Madrid. He has already proven how vital he is to Chelsea, so another positive performance looks to be on the cards.
