Chelsea FC: The Blues have had a great week after beating Atletico Madrid and having star player Eden Hazard start and back to his best.

Chelsea FC have had a boost after Eden Hazard’s return to full fitness and he showed no signs of rust against Atletico Madrid. His first start of the season went amazingly well and he was Chelsea’s best player on the pitch.

But whats even better news for Chelsea fans and bad news for opposition teams is that Hazard will make Morata an even better player and will help him to score even more goals.

Morata, fresh from his hat-trick against Stoke and a crucial goal against Atletico, has been in fine form after scoring seven goals from seven appearances. He has also made four assists for his teammates.

And, six of those seven goals were scored without Eden Hazard starting. Morata and Hazard formed a great partnership against Atletico and had an almost instinctual understanding. Hazard made several good runs past Atletico defenders but he almost always laid it off for Morata for a shot or a one-two.

Morata recently explained the connection they’ve instantly had in an interview stating:

"“It’s not difficult playing with this kind of player. He’s one of the three best players in the world. It’s easy for me playing with him.”"

With both Hazard and Morata fit for the clash against Manchester City, Pep Guardiola’s men will have a hard time stopping them. Especially in light of the news of Benjamin Mendy’s injury plus Aguero’s.

Eden Hazard, I believe, will have a better understanding and form a better combination with Alvaro Morata then with his previous strike partner Diego Costa.

While, Costa was an enviable target man, that allowed Hazard to play off him. Morata will give Hazard different benefit.  Morata has great movement and intelligence and will create space for Eden Hazard to run while Morata makes a decoy run. Furthermore, Hazard can make one of his own amazing runs, draw defenders to him then lay it off to Morata where he will have time and space to make a shot.

Morata and Hazard seem to form a great partnership upfront when played in the 5-3-2 formation but if Conte changes things, they could combine also with either Willian or Pedro. But personally I prefer the 5-3-2 and I think just Morata and Hazard are perfect strike partners up front.

Hazard and Morata have also shared some  off-the-pitch banter as well with Hazard joking that Morata should score with his feet as well. Morata responded by scoring a hat-trick with his feet the next game and then patting his head after scoring against Atletico from Hazard’s cross.

If both Eden  Hazard and Alvaro Morata are firing this weekend, then expect Chelsea FC to cause a lot of problems for the Manchester city defence.

I’m predicting a 3-2 win to Chelsea FC.
