Dele Alli

The precocious English attacker isn’t the finished article by any means, but he’s already a Premier League star. His ability to score goals out of nowhere gives Tottenham’s attack a dimension that no one else can match.

Some Spurs fans hold his petulant and/or selfish attitude on the pitch against him, but he’s clearly a brilliant star. There’s a reason that the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona are frequently linked with him.

It’s easy to forget that he’s still just 21 years of age. He’s just scratching the surface of his long-term potential as a player. Even so, he managed to score 18 goals and provide seven assists in 37 Premier League appearances last season. Those are totals that quite a few players in their prime would kill to achieve.

The argument against installing Dele as the second best player at the club is his inconsistency. That’s not a deadly sin given his age, but it’s one obstacle standing between he and absolute stardom. In the end he’s a sensational, mercurial talent who certainly merits consideration for the spot behind Kane. He is absolutely Spurs’ second most valuable player from a transfer perspective.
