Tottenham were brilliant in the first half at Huddersfield

In some ways, I had to feel a little bad for Huddersfield fans during the first half of today’s match. Their club didn’t play too badly, but they still found themselves down 3-0 at the break. Tottenham’s clinical finishing took them entirely out of the match.

The second half devolved into a pretty boring affair. Spurs weren’t nearly as adventurous going forward and were quite happy to see the match out without inviting any drama. No one in the squad wanted to experience a repeat of last week’s drama at West Ham.

Anyone who watched a shred of the match surely knows that Harry Kane was terrific. It might surprise you though, to learn that I don’t think he was Tottenham’s best player on the afternoon. The English striker was excellent, but he wasn’t quite as good as one of his teammates.

Read on to discover which Spurs players really stood out in the convincing win. Overall, expect to see positive ratings for nearly everyone who started this fixture.
