Tottenham can survive Dembele’s absence

Mauricio Pochettino is smart enough to understand that Tottenham have to earn all three points against Bournemouth this weekend. Anything less than a convincing victory will be a disappointment for Spurs.

Unfortunately, Pochettino will once again be forced to shuffle his lineup due to injury. The returns of Victor Wanyama, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela are creeping closer, but none of them will be fit in time to feature against the Cherries. Even worse, Mousa Dembele’s ankle likely won’t be good enough to help his manager on Saturday.

The good news is that Spurs have enough depth in their squad to field a strong XI without those four players. In particular, Tottenham have enough quality to dispatch the struggling Cherries. Eddie Howe’s club currently occupy the 19th spot in the Premier League table.

Despite the relatively weak opposition, Pochettino will start the strongest starting XI available to him. Read on to discover how Spurs will line up at Wembley against Bournemouth.
