Harry Kane-6.5

Kane will be kicking himself for his inability to curl the ball past Navas during his second half breakaway on goal. It wasn’t Kane’s best match in terms of final product, but his effort level gave Real Madrid fits for the entire match.

As usual, measuring Kane purely based on goals and assists doesn’t do him justice. His constant motion is a nightmare for the opposition. This held true against Real Madrid too. It may not have been the dominating performance of his dreams, but Kane put in a solid shift against Los Blancos.

Fernando Llorente-7

The experienced Spaniard was Pochettino’s biggest surprise in the starting XI. No one, including Zinedine Zidane, expected him to start alongside Harry Kane, but Pochettino’s gamble certainly paid off.

Llorente showed surprising chemistry with Kane considering just how little they’ve played and trained together. His ability to head the ball down accurately was the key to several fast breaks from Spurs. He’ll be disappointed not to have found the back of the net himself, but his hold-up play was instrumental in the match.
