In year two under Pep Guardiola, the Sky Blues have been tearing apart whomever their opponent is with absolute fury. They have soared to the top of the Premier League and may not lose their top spot the rest of the way. Here’s why:

1. Gabriel Jesus

Coming into the season, it was no mystery that they could score points. Sergio Aguero is one of the most skilled strikers in the Premier League (and in all the world) and thus far has scored six goals so far in the Premier League; along with three assists.

But finally Gabriel Jesus, a breakout star from last season, is healthy and eager to show off what he can do. He also has six goals and seemed to instantly have chemistry with Aguero. Even at just 20 years old and fresh in the Premier League he has shown unbelievable speed and skill, which was developed over the course of his childhood in Brazil. But his youth coach is not at all surprised.

For such a young guy, he is incredibly adept at finishing and passes very well, which gives him a decided edge over other young talents like Marcus Rashford. He finishes well and is a versatile player that can line up anywhere across the front line and draws fouls often. There is no way Aguero would be the same without Jesus.
