To make it through the rigors of the Premier League and the Champions League a team must have more than a few guys they can count on. City has just that. In addition to Aguero and Jesus they have more guys that can make plays. Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling have scored ten goals between them.

More from Manchester City

Their midfield duo of Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva are masterful at setting the table for this potent offense. They have two goals and 11 assists so far in Premier League play. The fact Raheem Sterling comes off the bench most of the time should tell you how deep this squad is. He could start on most teams in the Premier League.

In fact, City ranks at the top in almost every major offensive category. Beyond leading goals by a wide margin with 29 (next closest in Manchester United with 21 and beyond them just six other teams have even reached double digits), they are also tops in possession percentage, shot accuracy and aerial duels won. They trail Liverpool in shots per game by just a hair at 19.4 to the 19.5 mark of the Merseyside giants.

It also deserves to be mentioned that the defense has improved with the additions of Kyle Walker from Tottenham and Benjamin Mendy from Monaco this summer. Along with last year’s purchase of John Stones from Everton, City has spent big money to beef up the back line. But there is no squad certainly in England, if not all of Europe, with this much talent top to bottom.
