Neymar made shocking announcement at Messi’s wedding

It has recently been announced that apparently Neymar decided to let his teammates know about his decision to leave Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain at Lionel Messi’s wedding.

This past summer Lionel Messi got married to his childhood sweet heart and invited several of his Barcelona teammates.  At the wedding during his speech rather than talking about his friendship with Messi or how happy he was for his teammate and likely in many ways teacher to be embarking on what will honestly be the defining journey of his life Neymar felt his wedding speech was a good opportunity to steal the limelight yet again.

Neymar announced that he would be making the shocking move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in order to further his career and deepen his pockets.

Many critics of the move felt that the reason why Neymar was leaving Barcelona is because he was tired of being overshadowed by the Argentine superstar.  Rather than working to outdo him they felt that Neymar was running from the challenge.  That his move to Paris was him going around the problem rather than facing it.

Generally speaking Neymar seems to have his head in the right place and he’s a phenomenal player.  He is without a doubt the heir apparent to the Ronaldo-Messi era.  That said if this is true it is a bad sign of character.  To make somebody else wedding about yourself like that is a bad sign of things to do.

Neymar’s move is an interesting one because he was in line to take over as the star player at Barcelona eventually and the move to Ligue 1 is not as highly thought of.  It will be interesting to see if Neymar can turn Paris into the move that it has been billed as.  The skeptic inside everyone however will have had their eyebrows raised by this story.
