Ben Davies-7.5

Spoiler alert, Davies was the Man of the Match for me. The fact that he only managed a 7.5 illustrates just how mediocre Spurs’ performance was.

Davies was certainly better than average. He didn’t put a foot wrong defensively which included a few really excellent challenges. The Welshman also managed to get forward a few times to fire crosses into the box. Perhaps if one of them had led to a legitimate scoring opportunity he would’ve received higher marks from me.

Serge Aurier-6.5

This wasn’t Aurier’s best match. He wasn’t a liability for Pochettino’s defence, but he really didn’t provide any moments of excellence either. It was an adequate defensive shift for the Ivory Coast defender.

Unfortunately, he was just as forgettable going forward. Despite having several opportunities, he never really used his pace to get by any United defenders. Spurs were craving a spark from someone and Aurier had the talent to provide it. In the end, it was a pretty nondescript performance from the talented wingback.
