Son Heung-Min-5.5

Son faced a tough task in trying to replace Harry Kane in the Tottenham starting XI. The talented Korean played pretty hard, but didn’t really get anything done. As such, he suffers a pretty harsh player rating.

The best work Son did during the match was tracking back to try to win the ball back. That’s better than he usually does on that end of the pitch, but it wasn’t enough to overcome his weak offensive shift.

He didn’t get a ton of service, but he also didn’t create even a single scoring chance during his time on the pitch. That’s simply not good enough for a Premier League striker.

Dele All-7

Critics of Dele will point to his missed volley as evidence that he isn’t “world-class.” I choose to look at that a bit differently. Dele was the lone creative player in the Spurs attack and deserves credit for producing a legitimate scoring opportunity.

It wasn’t a perfect performance by Dele, but you can’t say he didn’t impact the match. Pochettino’s squad needed creativity from somewhere and he tried to fill the void. You may not love his decision-making, but it’s hard to argue that he wasn’t the club’s top attacker in this match.
