Craig Shakespeare (posthumous)

Shakespeare should never have had the job in the first place.  The fact that he lost it isn’t that big of a deal.  Claudio Ranieri is not the best manager in the world but deserved far more respect from the ownership at Leicester.

The fact that they had no gratitude to Shakespeare for riding out their form last season doesn’t mean anything.  Ultimately Leicester wouldn’t have been relegated last year whoever it is that managed them. Shakespeare has done nothing to prove he deserved the job in the first place or that he should stay in it either.

The overwhelming feeling is that if Leicester had the opportunity to make the decision all over again they know that they should have kept Claudio Ranieri.  It would have been interesting to see if Shakespeare made something more of his time as manager.  He though didn’t seem to pull a Sherwood and make even a slightly inspiring run of things.
