Harry Kane is a huge question mark for Tottenham

Tottenham host Real Madrid on Wednesday with the top spot in Champions League Group H on the line. The real question for Spurs, of course, is whether or not Harry Kane’s hamstring will recover well enough for him to be involved.

England’s top striker was last seen limping off the pitch in Spurs’ one sided win over Liverpool two weekends ago but he missed out on Tottenham’s match at Manchester United. Predictably, Mauricio Pochettino’s offence sputtered without Kane and Spurs lost the match 1-0.

The fans will heap a huge amount of pressure on Pochettino to risk Kane in this fixture. While for me it would be a mistake to trot him out there unless he’s 100% fit, I do understand the appeal. Hosting Real Madrid isn’t something that Tottenham get to do every season.

The question of whether or not to start Kane isn’t Pochettino’s only big call though. He’ll need to balance the squad correctly if he wants to get a result against Real Madrid. Los Blancos might be struggling, but they clearly have world-class talent all over the pitch.

Without further delay, read on to see who Spurs will start in this glamour fixture.
