Radja Nainggolan

The Belgian midfielder was linked with United in the summer, before the Red Devils ended up signing Nemanja Matic. And while the Serbian has been a mainstay in United’s midfield, he has seen his partners change almost every two weeks. Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini made good starts to the season, but both are now out injured.

While Ander Herrera looks out of touch and out of form at the moment. Scott McTominay has made a good start to his fledgling career. But United still need an experienced midfielder who can dominate games and add creativity to the side.

And Radja Nainggolan could prove to be the perfect fit for Jose Mourinho’s side. The 29-year old has been a consistent performer once again this season for Italian club Roma.

The combative midfielder has often been compared to Manchester United legend Paul Scholes for his wide passing and distribution range and his ability to score from long distances. He fits the profile of the midfielder United need at the moment.

A midfield featuring Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Radja Nainggolan can dominate almost every other team in Europe. So United should make the signing of the Belgian international a priority this winter.
