Fabinho

While Manchester United have one of the league’s best right-backs in Antonio Valencia, he cannot play two games a week anymore. So Mourinho should look to add cover in that position. And there aren’t many options better than Fabinho.

The Brazilian is known for his versatility and can play both as a right-back and in the midfield. His arrival could also allow Valencia to move to a more forward role if Mourinho wants.

Fabinho’s stock has risen exponentially over the last couple of years. This summer he was wanted by Paris St. Germain but his move was blocked by AS Monaco. He was also reportedly wanted by Manchester United, but the move never materialized. With Monaco facing an early Champions League exit, January would be the perfect time to pounce on the 24-year old.

Mourinho will be able to strengthen two positions with just one signing. And Fabinho will also get to reunite with the man who gave him his professional debut at Real Madrid.
