Tottenham earned a hideous 1-0 win against Crystal Palace

Savvy Tottenham fans knew that Spurs would struggle in the aftermath of their 3-1 masterpiece over Real Madrid. Fortunately, Son Heung-Min’s stunning second half strike was enough to earn three much-needed points against Crystal Palace.

Unfortunately for Mauricio Pochettino, there weren’t too many bright performances on the afternoon for his squad. Even Son, who managed to score the goal, was pretty awful during the rest of his time on the pitch. This wasn’t a work of art for Spurs by any stretch of the imagination.

In particular, Pochettino’s attack struggled to create many meaningful scoring chances against the Palace defence. Remember, Hodgson’s back line was arguably the most porous defence in the Premier League coming into this match. Tottenham would have expected to enjoy more joy against them.

As you might expect, the strongest performances for Tottenham came from their own defence. Even without Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld, Spurs were able to keep Palace quiet. Much credit goes to third choice keeper Paulo Gazzaniga who managed to keep a clean sheet in his first Premier League appearance for Spurs. He’ll enjoy a pretty solid player rating along with his defending teammates.

Read on to discover just how bad Tottenham’s attackers played during this match. The ratings of some of Pochettino’s attackers just might surprise you.
