Ever since Arsenal took ownership under Arsenal Holdings plc, they’ve become widely criticized for shying away when the transfer window comes around.  However, in the last couple of seasons, Arsenal have shown a growing desire to sign some of the world’s most prolific talents.

It all started when a certain Mesut Ozil made the record-breaking move from Real Madrid to Arsenal back in 2013. It was this kind of transfer that fans were crying out for after losing a number of their star players. After his, the notable transfers come flowing through with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Petr Cech, Granit Xhaka and most recently Alexandre Lacazette among the stars of Arsenal.

The Gunners will be looking to improve on the Summer transfer window, which was deemed to be below par, as they only managed to secure two signings. Those two signings have started the season well, with Lacazette tallying 5 goals in 9 Premier League appearances and Sead Kolasinac contributing to 5 goals from 10 appearances across all competitions.

However, there are still areas for improvement and with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil looking likely to move, Arsenal should aim to be active in the winter. With that being said, here are 5 transfer targets for Arsenal to consider.
