Chelsea: Five January targets for Conte

The highly thought of German is another contract bandit that Chelsea could capitalize on.  The highly thought of German midfielder would add a large degree of depth and class to Chelsea’s midfield which has looked thin at times when players are injured.

Goretzka is 22 and being chased by several of the big clubs around Europe.  Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are all apparently hoping that he makes it to the summer and they can sign the player for free.  The highly thought of midfielder is often compared to a young Michael Ballack.

What Chelsea have shown at many times this season is a lack of strength and ability to calmly keep possession in midfield.  With a player like Goretzka partnered with Kante Chelsea midfield would be anchored for years to come.

Chelsea should again get a leap on the summer competition by signing Goretzka.  If they offer 10 million pounds for the player that should be enough for Schalke to let him go.
