5. Inter Milan

This summer there were rampant rumors about Martial being sent to the Italian outfit and Ivan Perisic going back to Old Trafford. I never quite bought into these rumors but I don’t deny that they could possibly happen. I just don’t think Perisic is going to cut it at United and considering he is approaching 30 I don’t anticipate he will get much better. However at just 21 Martial has much more potential. I deem this unlikely, but still not completely unrealistic.

However, I think Inter would run into the same problem that United is having with Martial currently. They already have an established striker in Mauro Icardi (who has scored 11 goals in Serie A).

Which means that Martial would likely be sent out to the left side, to take Perisic’s place directly. Perhaps moving out of the Premier League would help Martial, but I just cannot imagine that a change of scenery is the only thing that Martial needs to get back into form. I believe he also needs a change of role.

However, at the end of the day business is business and if the price is right the swap could happen. I just don’t think it would help either team as much as they think.
