Will Tottenham rest Harry Kane against West Brom?

Tottenham certainly need to take all three points tomorrow against West Brom, but they also need to get Harry Kane some rest. It will be very interesting to see whether or not Pochettino chooses this match to rest his talented striker.

In theory, Spurs should have more than enough firepower to overcome the Baggies at home. Even after the firing of Tony Pulis, it’s fair to expect West Brom to set up very defensively. The key for Spurs will be to play at a high tempo to make sure this match doesn’t become mired in offensive frustration.

Including Kane in the starting XI would certainly improve Tottenham’s chances of finding an early goal, but there are other players in Pochettino’s squad who can get the job done. Players like Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, and possibly Son Heung-Min will be entrusted to carry their share of the scoring load as well.

In the end, expect Pochettino to deploy a very attack-minded starting XI. West Brom are a threat on the counter, but the biggest threat for Spurs in this match is a 0-0 draw. Read on to discover the XI players Pochettino will entrust to get the job done against the Baggies.
