4. Trent Alexander-Arnold
Another young player who has been overlooked, Trent Alexander-Arnold has shown plenty of promise as a right back so far. He was a reliable alternative to Nathaniel Clyne last season and has continued to perform well this season.

As is the case with Gomez, Alexander-Arnold bears little responsibility for Liverpool’s difficulties in defense. He has also been excellent going forward, providing plenty of pace and some impressive skill.
Liverpool’s attacking threat seems far greater when he is involved and he has demonstrated an eye for goal with a terrific free kick against Hoffenheim in the Champions League playoff round and another impressive strike in a group stage win against Maribor.
Already strong going forward and back, the right back is certainly one to look out for in upcoming years.
