Liverpool’s five most underrated players: Which Reds deserve more credit?
1. Jordan Henderson
The midfielder has endured plenty of criticism in recent weeks, but remains an integral part of Liverpool’s midfield and can still offer plenty to his side.
While filling the boots of former Captain Steven Gerrard is a daunting task, Jordan Henderson has not received his fair share of praise for his performances as Liverpool captain. With an excellent work rate and an unquestionable commitment to the side, he has led his teammates by example rather than words.
These qualities played an important role in Liverpool’s 2013/2014 title campaign, and while the Reds have not come as close to the title since, Henderson’s game has remained intact.
Next: Liverpool don't need Coutinho any longer
The English midfielder boasts an incredible vision as well and is capable of some magnificent passes, and astonishing strikes. Though few recognize the extent of the Liverpool skipper’s ability, it is difficult to deny.
