Striker-Harry Kane

Tottenham’s talisman was hacked, held and kicked all over Vicarage Road last weekend. As such, Pochettino wrapped him up in plastic and allowed him to avoid the entire APOEL match. That should allow Kane to be fit and firing for this match.

Spurs will certainly need Kane at his best to snap out of their recent funk. It’s very likely Kane will try to grab this match by the scruff of the neck all by himself. That could go either way for Spurs. Kane could score a hat trick all by his lonesome, or he could freeze his attacking teammates out of the match. Spurs fans will be hoping for the former.

Keeper-Hugo Lloris

Lloris was also left out against APOEL and will be reinserted into the starting XI this weekend. It’s very possible he’ll see more than his share of traffic due to the players missing in front of him.

Fortunately, he’s one of Europe’s top shot-stoppers. Lloris may have his deficiencies in terms of distribution from the back, but he’s counted on to do less of that when Spurs play with a back four. A clean sheet from Lloris this weekend would provide Tottenham with a massive boost.
