The Champions League draw is set to take place on Monday, and with some surprise teams making it trough, as well as the obvious European giants, we wanted to look at the best possible Champions League match-ups.

It’s a nervy time for every team, as the days before the Champions League draw consist of checking over which teams you’d like to draw, and which teams you’d like to avoid. Perhaps fortunately, I don’t have to worry about Arsenal drawing Bayern Munich this time round.

I’ve taken the neutral role, and as a neutral, you always hope to see the best teams come up against each other, and you’ll be hoping for some hotly contested matches, which could go either way.

As a fan of a particular club however, you would obviously want to see one of the ‘easier’ teams come out of the pot next to yours. I emphasise the term easy, because in the Champions League nothing is ever easy.

The teams that have qualified are…

Group winners

  • Manchester United
  • Paris Saint-Germain
  • Roma
  • Barcelona
  • Liverpool
  • Manchester City
  • Besiktas
  • Tottenham Hotspur

Group runners-up

  • FC Basel
  • Bayern Munich
  • Chelsea
  • Juventus
  • Sevilla
  • Shakhtar Donetsk
  • Porto
  • Real Madrid

So, without further ado, I’m going to run you through the 5 best possible Champions League draws.
