1. Juventus v Manchester City

Two of the teams who are most tactically disciplined, and have the managers who are capable to achieve anything on the big occasion. What a game this would be!

Manchester City have seriously rebuilt their squad, and it’s home to some of the most promising talent in Europe, all being managed by Pep Guardiola. They’re taking the Premier League by storm at the moment, and they’ll hope to continue their good form in the Champions League.

Juventus reached the final of the 2016/17 Champions League campaign, only to lose to Real Madrid. However, what got them there was a fierce defence, with each individual giving their up-most to win every loose ball.

It would be a game of defence versus attack, with the Italian side looking to frustrate the Manchester City attackers. As we’ve seen this season, Manchester City are susceptible to the odd defensive mistake, which Massimiliano Allegri will try to exploit.

My prediction

Mancheser City, for me. I believe if there’s any year they’re going to challenge the big dogs in Europe, it will be this year. If this is a result of the Champions League draw, then you can guarantee an excellent match-up!
