Premier League rankings: Top 10 strikers
By Kian Long
8. Olivier Giroud – Arsenal
Olivier Giroud has been struggling for game time this season, as he made his first Premier League start against West Ham on Wednesday. It’s not because he’s out of form, it’s just because Arsenal recently acquired Alexandre Lacazette.
However, he’s made the most of the time he’s had on the pitch. He’s averaged a goal every 86 minutes so far in the Premier League this season. In 2017, he has the most goals as a substitute. The Frenchman weirdly strives off a lack of game time, and he often becomes Arsenal’s scapegoat in the games he starts.
We all know his specialty lies upon his heading ability, so he’s a great outlet to have when the team is searching for a goal in the dying embers of the match. Olivier Giroud takes the number 8 spot on this list of the best strikers in the Premier League.
