Danny Rose-7.5

I’ll start my ratings with the individual I believed was Tottenham’s Man of the Match. Danny Rose made a crucial statement about his status with the club against the best team in England.

It wasn’t a perfect match from Rose, but he was a clear bright spot during a miserable match for Spurs. He competed hard for almost the full 90 minutes and didn’t give City’s right side a moment of peace. It’s unfortunate that the best performance since his injury will go largely unnoticed due to the final result.

Kieran Trippier-3

As good as Rose was, Trippier was as poor. He was thoroughly outclassed in this match. His lack of speed and athleticism hurt the squad time and time again.

Leroy Sane is an excellent player, but Trippier made him look like Messi in this match. He repeatedly went past the Tottenham right back as if he wasn’t even there.

HIs struggles on the defensive end of the pitch really weren’t a surprise. Any Spurs fan with a brain knew he’d get destroyed by City’s pace. The real surprise was his ineffective play on the offensive end of the pitch. Trippier’s pitiful crossing during the match mirrored his disastrous attempts to tackle Sane.
