Harry Kane-6

If any Tottenham player deserved to score a goal against City, it was Kane. He very nearly tied the match during the first half after narrowly missing beating Ederson at the far post.

Kane’s work rate never dipped during the match even though he had every reason to let his spirit fall. In truth, it’s what separates Kane from other strikers in the Premier League. There are faster and stronger players, but Kane has the best work ethic in England.

With that being said, he couldn’t make it happen yesterday. He did his level-headed best to drag Tottenham’s attack out of the doldrums, but he didn’t have enough support. There will be better days ahead for England’s top striker.

Hugo Lloris-6

The Frenchman was only at fault for one of City’s goals, but it wasn’t his best match. He couldn’t manage to produce any truly fantastic saves that might have kept Tottenham within hailing distance of City.

In truth, playing across the pitch from Ederson also highlights Lloris’ largest deficiency. His lack of ability to distribute the ball from the back continues to haunt Spurs. Just as Ederson was pinging passes down the pitch, Lloris almost knocked a pass out for a corner kick. The stark difference between the two keepers was pretty shocking.
