CB – Sergio Ramos – Real Madrid
Around this time last year, these two footballing giants met at the Camp Nou. The home side were set to celebrate a 1-0 victory as the game reached the 90th minute. Until Sergio Ramos silenced Catalonia.
A stunning header from a free-kick levelled the match and truly stunned the opposition.
Just like previously mentioned in regards to Piqué, Madrid’s captain has been a part of this rivalry for many years. His defensive work is solid, and he is a constant threat in set-piece situations.
Barcelona will be doing all that they can to stop Sergio Ramos from influencing the final result on Saturday afternoon.
RB – Sergi Roberto – Barcelona
“Practice makes perfect” as they say, and flexibility in a team’s formation can have fantastic benefits for all involved. Originally a midfielder when he began his professional journey, Sergi Roberto has blossomed into a top-class right-back for Barcelona.
Dani Alves had a profound effect on the right flank for the Catalans, and Roberto is doing a masterful job of ensuring that he can fill the void.
With a skilled touch on the ball and the ability to play in a variety of different areas, Sergi Roberto is a true asset for Barcelona and manager Ernesto Valverde.
