MF – Toni Kroos – Real Madrid

Now, this choice should be prefaced by the fact that Luka Modric is an absolute genius in the midfield for Los Merengues. However, Toni Kroos has been at another level for Real Madrid lately.

The German international is lethal from free-kick situations, and his one-two combination with Lucas Vazquez against Sevilla earlier this month was sublime.

Real Madrid’s form has not been perfect, evidenced by the major gap that the title-holders must make up on Barcelona. But Toni Kroos’ work has been a true asset, and he may play a major role on Saturday.

FW – Luis Suarez – Barcelona

Things may have started off slowly for him, but striker Luis Suarez is beginning to hit top-form at a crucial time for Barcelona. The Uruguayan international has nine league goals and one assist thus far, after injuries took their toll at the beginning of the season.

“MSN” may have ended when Neymar left for Paris Saint-Germain, but Suarez has no intention of letting that affect him.

He scored two goals in Barca’s recent victory over Deportivo de La Coruña, and will look to carry that momentum into the Santiago Bernabeu.

Still one of the most potent strikers in the game, Luis Suarez may be running into Real Madrid at the right time.
