Danny Rose-7.5

For a player who many believe is certain to be leaving in January, Danny Rose continues to put in aggressive performances for his current club. He wasn’t perfect against Southampton, but his performance was another solid outing for Pochettino.

His willingness to run up the pitch really kept Sofiane Boufal pinned back for most of the match. Rose may not have Ben Davies’ ability to deliver pinpoint crosses into the box, but he did provide Kane one sumptuous pass into the middle. If he continues to elevate his level of play as he regains full fitness, he won’t be leaving Spurs anytime soon.

Serge Aurier-7.5

If you weren’t a little surprise to see Aurier in yesterday’s starting XI then you are a liar. Pochettino abandoned his usual fullback rotation to give the Ivory Coast international his second Premier League start in a row.

Aurier repaid Pochettino’s faith by completely shutting down Nathan Redmond. His pace and physicality was a real problem for the Saints. Aurier took another solid step towards nailing Kieran Trippier to the bench in Tottenham’s important matches.
