Harry Kane-10

What can you say about the striker that does everything? Kane earned a relatively easy hat trick against Southampton and put the match well out of reach for his team.

Of course, it wasn’t just a hat trick. It was a perfect hat trick. The English striker scored first with his head, and followed his opening score up with goals by both feet. He did everything but score off his backside against the Saints.

The scary thing is that he could have scored more. Kane converts a healthy percentage of his chances, but there’s still room for improvement. That reality should keep opposing defenders up at night.

Hugo Lloris-3.5

It may seem harsh to hammer the French captain this much, but he was at fault for both of Southampton’s goals. When your strength is shot stopping and you manage to let two relatively tame efforts find the back of the net, the marks aren’t going to be too pretty.

There will be better days ahead for Lloris, but he’ll want to forget about this match. Expect the murmurs of Tottenham’s need to upgrade the keeper position to grow ever so slightly after this performance.
