Tottenham will be forced to rotate heavily

You can be sure Mauricio Pochettino isn’t happy that Tottenham have to play a London Derby just 48 hours after a trip to Swansea, but that’s the reality he’s faced with. The result will be the Argentine gaffer starting a heavily rotated squad against the Hammers.

Fortunately, Harry Kane’s cameo against the Swans means he’s likely to start the match against West Ham. In a perfect world he could have avoided the Welsh encounter altogether, but Fernando Llorente did just enough to give him an hour off.

Injuries continue to be an issue for Spurs. Toby Alderweireld continues to recover from his long-term injury and now Danny Rose is experiencing knee discomfort once again. Seeing Rose make an appearance against West Ham would be an immense surprise.

Even with injuries and fatigue being such a serious factor, Pochettino will expect his squad to go out and take the fight to West Ham. In truth, this is the sort of match Spurs should have enough squad depth to win. Yes, it’s a London Derby, but this isn’t an immensely talented West Ham squad. Read on to see the heavily rotated group Pochettino will trot out against David Moyes’ troops.
