Striker-Harry Kane

Congrats to Fernando Llorente to scoring a Premier League goal for Spurs against Swansea, but he isn’t starting this match. Harry Kane will need to be on his deathbed to keep him out of such an important London Derby.

Without Eriksen on the pitch he’ll need to do even more than usual to keep the Spurs attack up and running. Kane will drop deeper more than normal in an effort to secure possession and create space for his attacking teammates. If you liked his beautiful assist to Dele against Swansea, you may really like his performance against West Ham.

Keeper-Hugo Lloris

I’m sure Michel Vorm would like to get a start, but it’s not going to happen here either. Perhaps Vorm can make the starting XI against Wimbledon instead.

Lloris’ biggest challenge in this match will be to make sure he deals with the West Ham aerial threat. Andy Carroll is fit and firing. Tottenham simply can’t allow him to get free and take advantage of Lloris in the air. If that happens, it could be a nervy outing for Spurs.
