DaSilva, Musonda Jr, Boga and Sterling

It’s the price of Chelsea’s success at youth level that this article would come about this way.

Chelsea have far more than 5 very bright prospects.  Some of these are put here because they’ve been on the radar for so long that they couldn’t truly be considered unknown.

Jay DaSilva was heralded by Ian Wright as already better than any of the left-backs in the Premier League the half English and half Brazilian player is a bowling ball of muscle, energy and tenacious tackling.  It wouldn’t be fair to put the pressure on the young boy that this comparison draws but his playing style is very similar to Roberto Carlos.

Musonda Jr is already on the fringes of the first team and many predict that someday he’ll be a superstar.  He does need to get his attitude in check though and stopping mucking about on Instagram.  His little Instagram snafu at the beginning of this season probably cost him 5 starts for the Blues.

Jeremie Boga is very highly thought of by the youth academy and current manager Antonio Conte. He had several starts for the Blues at the beginning of the season though like several of his counterparts it is unclear what might be his best position.  He’s simply a very good young footballer.

The last is DuJon Sterling.  His comparison is Kyle Walker and that might not be fair to Sterling.  He could be better than that.  walker though an incredibly athletic player lacks the tricks and moves that Sterling already has in spades. The winger and wing-back is already being looked at by several Premier League sides for loans.  He’s not anything surprising and should be in the side for Chelsea quite soon.
