Tottenham should not stay still in January

Spurs fans are flying high after dominating Everton 4-0 this weekend, but that doesn’t mean Tottenham don’t have work to do. Mauricio Pochettino should urging Daniel Levy and company to be active in the January transfer window. In this piece, we’ll take a look at the moves the club should be making.

This is not a prediction piece. It’s very likely that Tottenham will stand pat and fail to add any players in the winter transfer window. I’m of the opinion that Premier League clubs should be adding talent each time the window opens, but I’m not in charge of Spurs.

Instead, we’ll examine the things Tottenham should be doing before February arrives. I’m restricting my suggestions to moves that are within the realm of possibility. For example, I’d love to see Lionel Messi in a Spurs shirt, but that’s not going to happen in anyone’s wildest dreams.

Consider this free advice for Levy and the rest of Tottenham’s brain trust. If they accomplish these five things, the club will have executed a terrific transfer window. Read on to discover Tottenham’s ideal transfer blueprint.
