After failing to land Andy Carroll, Chelsea have kept their interest in London and will look to pursue fellow West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic.
Chelsea are in lacklustre form of late, although they shown signs of promise in their emphatic 4-0 victory over Brighton. With Alvaro Morata being labelled as ‘stupid’ by Antonio Conte, and watching his side cruise to victory without him, many are linking Antonio Conte’s desire to find a forward with this supposed fall out. The latest to this ever-growing list is Marko Arnautovic.
The Austrian has been in fine form under new manager David Moyes, and it all started when Antonio Conte came to visit the London Stadium in December, a game in which he scored the only goal of the match. He has now scored six goals and provided three assists in his last eight league games.

Chelsea have shown a keen interest to improve their attack, which looked so deadly in their recent match-up with Brighton and Hove Albion. New signing Alvaro Morata has now gone six games without scoring; to deepen the wounds of the Spaniard, his only notable contribution has been his red card which he picked up against Norwich City.

Antonio Conte has a very short fuse, and he’s never one to beat around the bush. If the Italian boss feels a player isn’t right for his system, or is showing a lack of respect, he is fast to dismiss; this is something we’ve seen already with Diego Costa and David Luiz.
Michy Batshuayi doesn’t seem to be integral to Antonio Conte’s plans, and the Belgian is finding it hard to adjust and prove himself. The quality is there, so in whatever time he has available, he’ll be aiming to prove to Antonio Conte that he deserves a place in this Chelsea setup.
