Everton revival
The Toffees always seem there or thereabouts. Until this season, where they just could not gel under the guidance of Ronald Koeman. Since his departure, Sam Allardyce has come in and done what Allardyce does best. Keep a team afloat at elite level. Yet this man has talent, possibly more than his acceptance of job offers credit. Now he has a club with real structure in order to fulfil his potential.
Everton are a big club, they have a dynasty. They should be challenging to win titles and European Cups again. Theo Walcott joining from Arsenal is a real intent of where this club want to be. They misspent in the summer: mainly too many slow ageing attacking central-midfielders for a start. Commitment to spend-to-accumulate is admirable in justifying the owners’ aims.

Six points away from Leicester City in ninth position sit The Blues. To make the Europa qualifying round or win the cup, the School of Science, and its renowned technical approach, could call upon a strong youth policy. After three points from six games using their current roster, expect ‘Big’ Sam to utilise his development squad options if results continue. Game-week 25 has some mouth-watering games ahead: none more so than Everton at home to Puel’s team.
