Tottenham need a Deadline Day win on the pitch

Fans all across England will be monitoring social media for all the drama of Deadline Day. You can be sure that Tottenham fans will be just as concerned with their ability to earn three points against Manchester United.

Liverpool’s comfortable win against Huddersfield yesterday transformed the match into a must-win for Mauricio Pochettino and company. They can’t afford to give the Reds ground in their race for Champions League qualification. In particular, Tottenham’s difficult schedule in the coming weeks makes this match vital for the club’s immediate future.

Fortunately for Pochettino, he’ll get quite a few players back from injury. Toby Alderweireld will continue to miss out, but Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and quite a few others are back in the mix. Pochettino won’t rush everyone back into his starting XI, but you will see some impactful returns.

United, of course, have been buoyed by the signing of Alexis Sanchez. He’s expected to play in this match and his inclusion will influence some of Pochettino’s defensive selections. Read on to discover the 11 men Spurs will trust to dispatch with Jose Mourinho’s troops.
