The arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

When Arsenal announced the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the world was shocked. Not because nobody knew about the deal, but because many didn’t think Arsenal would pull it off.

And why is that? Well, the Gunners have failed to live up to their attacking expectations since Robin van Persie left the cub.  Alexandre Lacazette was thought to be a huge addition, however his time at The Emirates has been below par.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will prove to be a huge investment for the North London side, as he was offered a move to none other than Real Madrid recently. This calibre of interest doesn’t come to any player.

The Gabonese international said in his first interview that he tries to resemble Thierry Henry in his game, with his pace and his finishing. If he comes anywhere close to Henry’s levels, then the Emirates faithful will be pleased enough.

It only signifies massive change at the Arsenal camp, as in recent years they would have found excuses to push Alexis Sanchez’s replacement aside.

However, in order to get the deal over the line, they had to say farewell to an important player, and it was an emotional one…
