Arsenal are planning Arsene Wenger’s exit strategy
By Kian Long
Arsenal want to avoid another climax to the season of uncertainty.
Cast your minds back to last season, and you’ll remember that Arsenal suffered a major dip in form towards the end of the campaign. Well, you can say that about pretty much every season. This was largely down to uncertainty over the future of Arsene Wenger.
There were many reports that Arsenal would land Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri, however nothing was concrete. This led to many Arsenal players not being fully committed, as they themselves were confused over the situation.
However, reports from Daily Mail suggest that the Arsenal hierarchy don’t want that to happen again. It’s still uncertain whether Arsene Wenger will leave Arsenal or not, but the Gunners would prefer if a decision was made before the end of the season.
Once this season comes to a close, Arsene Wenger will be in his final season of his contract, which was signed at the end of last season.
There is a fear around the Arsenal camp that the Gunners won’t qualify for the Champions League next season. After suffering a major blow against arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur, they remained in sixth place, only broadening the gap between themselves and the top four.

It seems that the best route back into the coveted competition is by winning the Europa League. The Gunners come up against Ostersunds FK on Thursday night, with Alexandre Lacazette suffering a huge blow.
Danny Welbeck is the only fit striker available for Arsene Wenger, if his plans of taking the Europa League seriously are to be believed. Eddie Nketiah, who impressed by scoring on his first touch of his Arsenal debut, is also available along with other young players.
Arsenal must take this competition seriously, because it looks like they’ve lost hope in making the top four of the Premier League, which is always a tricky task.
Daily Mail have also reported Arsenal are in search of a new kit sponsor, with their Puma deal running out in 2019. Both Nike and Adidas are keen to work with the North London club, however both companies are reluctant to make anything official in case Arsenal don’t qualify for the Champions League.
