Erik Lamela-6

Lamela’s second half introduction mercifully ended Winks’ afternoon. Unfortunately, the Argentine never seemed to be able to really make his presence felt in the match.

The talented Argentine did help Spurs establish an attacking foothold, but it wasn’t enough to put the match to bed. Lamela didn’t increase or decrease his stock with this outing.

Dele Alli-7

When Dele came onto the pitch the Tottenham attack really changed. He repeatedly put the Rochdale defense in compromised positions. He was unfortunate on several occasions not to create a goal for his side.

Of course, his highlight was drawing the stonewall penalty that led to Harry Kane’s goal. His clever movement in the box allowed him to get an edge on his defender. It should have been enough to allow Spurs to advance.

Harry Kane-6

Kane’s highlight was ramming home the penalty chance that gave Spurs a 2-1 lead heading into extra time. Other than that, he really didn’t do much to distinguish himself. Expect him to be more involved in the replay at Wembley.
