Striker-Harry Kane

There’s absolutely no confusion about who will be leading the line for Spurs at Selhurst Park. Unless Tottenham are hiding an injury, there’s almost no chance that anyone other than Kane will be starting up top today.

Even if Pochettino wanted to rest his prolific hitman, the horrific play of Fernando Llorente makes such a decision impossible. Most Spurs fans would prefer to see Reo Griffiths start this match ahead of the Spanish veteran. At this point, the young Academy prospect has about as much chance of starting this match as Llorente.

Keeper-Hugo Lloris

There’s very little drama in Pochettino’s keeper selection for this match. Unless he suffers a freak injury or falls ill, Lloris will certainly be trusted to start in goal.

Remember, the reverse fixture saw Paulo Gazzaniga mind Pochettino’s net. He was brilliant that day for Tottenham, but he won’t be given the chance to reprise his role. The match is too important to entrust to anyone but the club’s French captain.
