4. Watford 0-6 Manchester City

This game was earlier on in the season than City’s meeting with Stoke. Being level on points with Manchester United at this point, they were able to capitalise and make some ground.

It comes as no surprise that it was Manchester City’s record scorer Sergio Aguero who opened the scoring, before beating the goalkeeper once more four minutes later. It was an impressive start by the Hornets, but Sergio Aguero is bound to punish your mistakes.

Before the first half came to an end, Aguero’s striking partner Gabriel Jesus added to the scoring. He was assisted by none other than his South American counterpart.

The game hit a stalemate for the next 20 minutes, but it was Nicolas Otamendi who opened the second half account. The Argentine leaped high in the air to rifle a header into the net. He has been one of Manchester City’s most reliable this season, and a real favourite of Pep Guardiola.

Having already scored two earlier in the match, it was Sergio Aguero who scored an amazing solo goal to complete his hat-trick. Then, in the closing minutes, Raheem Sterling made it the perfect six from the penalty spot.

Manchester City were beginning to assert their dominance over the other top six teams at this point. Where would you rank this emphatic encounter among Manchester City’s best games this season?
