Tottenham player ratings at Huddersfield: Son dazzles for Spurs
Son was brilliant for Tottenham
Some Tottenham fans have questioned Mauricio Pochettino’s use of Heung-Min Son as of late. It’s safe to say the Korean attacker silenced those questions emphatically at Huddersfield.
The tricky attacking midfielder played a starring role in scoring both of Spurs goals. He scored a lovely goal in the 27th after rounding the Terriers keeper. Then, he really put the match away in the second half after heading in a beautiful ball by Tottenham talisman Harry Kane.
In truth, there wasn’t a ton of drama in this fixture. Huddersfield came out and tried to play on the front foot, but Spurs’ advantage in quality was pretty obvious. Tottenham had a few nervy moments in the match’s opening moments, but once Pochettino’s midfield settled down the game’s outcome was never in question.
As you might expect, the player ratings are going to be pretty good. Tottenham dominated the match from start to finish in what was a pretty complete team effort. Pochettino will be happy with his squad and my ratings will certainly reflect the Argentine’s contentment.
