Harry Kane-7

The best moment of the match for England’s striker was the wonderful ball he played across the pitch to free up Son for his second goal. Unfortunately, there weren’t a lot of other high spots for Pochettino’s most dangerous attacker.

On another day, Kane’s lack of clinical finishing might have cost his club. In particular, he scuffed a golden opportunity off a corner in the second half. The ball fell right to his feet and he uncharacteristically bungled the ball wide of goal. Kane’s work rate and creativity were good, but his finishing was definitely off.

Hugo Lloris-7.5

The French captain didn’t have a ton to do, but he came up big against Huddersfield when it counted. His sprawling second half save of Thomas Ince’s blast kept Tottenham comfortably in front.

It’s not as if it was a world-class save, but it was solidly above average. Otherwise, Lloris was suitably bored. He does deserve credit for solid distribution from the back as well. All in all, it was a solid effort for one of Pochettino’s true stalwarts.
