Tottenham will setup to attack Juventus

Mauricio Pochettino faces a number of crucial decisions ahead of Tottenham’s most important fixture of the season. The depth of his Spurs squad gives him plenty of quality options against Juventus. Expect the Argentine gaffer to field a very attack-minded starting lineup against the Old Lady.

Some Spurs fans might expect Pochettino to try to manage the match. After all, Spurs head into the return Champions League tie with a significant advantage. The 2-2 loss at Turin equipped Tottenham with two crucial away goals. A low-scoring tie or a win will be enough to get Spurs into the next round.

You can be confident that Pochettino isn’t thinking that way. He’ll see the most direct route towards progressing into the Champions League quarterfinal as earning a victory over the Italian champions. Clearly, that will require Tottenham to score at least one goal.

The simple truth is that Spurs will likely need more than one goal to advance. That’s why Pochettino is going to go with an aggressive starting lineup. He won’t totally throw defensive balance out the window, but he’s going to go right at Juventus from the opening whistle.
